The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Friday, August 21 reveals Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will threaten a gleeful Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson).
Also coming up, Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will compare notes. Plus, Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will try to make a deal with Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman). And Nick Newman’s (Joshua Morrow) offer will surprise Sharon Newman (Sharon Case).
Y&R spoilers tease Sharon will visit Nick at the rehab clinic. Sharon will tell him she’s honored he said yes to her visit. He’ll say he’s not ready to see anyone else and he’s glad she’s there. But he gets the feeling there’s something she wants to tell him. And he’ll ask if it has to do with Matt Clark (Roger Howarth).
Y&R Daily Scoop – Sharon And Nick Share An Emotional Moment
Sharon will say she doesn’t want him stewing on this. “He stopped by the coffee house and we had a long talk.” Not surprisingly, Nick will start to lose it. Sharon will tell him Matt has a need to be forgiven and hopes they’ll see he’s sincere. “Do you believe him?” Nick will ask and Sharon will say he is aware of the damage he’s caused.
“When I get clean and I come home, I don’t want to deal with any version of Matt Clark,” Nick will tell her. Then he’ll mention Marie Kirkland (Jade Harlow) and say that she’s at the clinic. But he’ll tell her once he gets out of there, they should go to California. “That sounds perfect,” Sharon will reply.
Meanwhile, Chelsea will encounter Billy at Crimson Lights. She’ll say she heard he’s going after Chancellor and ask if it’s true. “Let me help you handle it,” she’ll add. But Billy will know she’s after a story and decline. He’ll ask her to tell Adam that his business affairs are off limits, no discussion.
At Jabot, Lily will show up to see Jack. He’ll ask why she wanted to meet in private, behind his brother’s back. He’ll add he’s sorry any of this is happening. Lily will ask if he’s looked into his father’s finances, Jack will say yes and the records support Billy’s claim.
He’ll tell her there was also no unexplained transaction indicating a repayment. But Jack will make it clear he wants to stay out of it. However, she’ll ask if he can try to reign in Billy. “I think this fight is a mistake,” Jack will admit. “But nothing is going to stop him.” So Lily will offer him a deal before it spins out of control, something that can work for both sides.
“Chancellor and I will pay back John’s loan, with interest, and then we can close the contract,” she’ll suggest. “Clean slate.” Jack will begin to balk and Lily will say they should honor Katherine and John’s friendship and make the deal and he’ll tell her he’ll consider it.
Young And The Restless Scoop – Cane Asks Adam If They Are Allies Now
At the same time, Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) arrive at the ranch, to alert Victor to what Billy has been up to. Then Adam will show up and Victor will ask what he knows about Billy Boy making a legal claim to Chancellor. Adam will say he heard rumblings and ask why Cane’s there.
Cane will will tell them what Billy learned. “I’ll be damned if I let Billy Boy Abbott put his grubby fingers on Chancellor,” Victor will pipe in. “Ain’t gonna happen.” And he wants Adam to use Newman Media to discredit “that punk.”
Victor will leave and Adam will ask Cane to give him what he has. “Did we just become allies?” Cane will ask and Adam will smile. Then Chelsea will show up and Adam will tell her it’s fine that Billy didn’t tell her anything. He has another source, Cane.
“Victor wants Newman Media to hammer Billy,” Adam will add. “From what I’m sensing, Billy’s chances of winning are slimming by the second,” she’ll reply. But Adam will say maybe he’s not blowing smoke this time and will surprise them all.
Finally, Victor will walk into the GCAC and see a happy Billy at the bar. “You’re not going to take Chancellor away from Lily Winters,” he’ll tell him. “You will not put your grubby little hands on Katherine’s legacy, I will destroy you first.”
Then Billy will spot Lily and Cane in the lobby and he’ll walk over and thank them for sharing the good news with Victor. “Did you really think going to Victor was going to do anything?” he’ll ask them. “Did you think he was going to scare me into submitting?”
